* Relevant advanced university degree, preferably in Education or other areas related to public administration management.

* At least 15 years of relevant experience in education, such as managing / supervising education policies and reforms, experience in advising, designing and supporting education quality assurance and accreditation systems, etc.

* At least 10 years of experience in the development and implementation of the standards, criteria and accreditation schemes for quality assurance systems in Education and strategic planning for a quality assurance agency or similar institution (implementation experience in EU national context is required, implementation experience in the ENPI-south region is an asset).

* Excellent knowledge of the pertinent acquis communautaire (if relevant), as well as the European network for quality assurance and EU practice concerning Quality Assurance and
Accreditation

* Experience in working at with a National Quality Assurance Body in the Education sector will be an asset.

* Previous experience in European programmes and policies on education and higher education is a strong asset

* At least 3 years of experience in countries comparable to Egypt in terms of socio-economic development. Proven track record of work on education reforms in the Mediterranean
region is an asset

* A track record in providing on the job training, coaching and mentoring is required, as well as strong organizational, communication and planning skills with ability to provide leadership and support

* Excellent command of both spoken and written English

* Good presentation and computer skills.
