Expert Profile Requirements:

• University degree of at least four years or equivalent diploma in development economic,social sciences or related disciplines and a thorough knowledge of civil society – led
projects and issues and government – civil society relations

• At least 10 years of experience in civil society programmes in general, with emphasis on capacity building preferably in the Southern Africa Region

• Experience in EDF project management and EDF procedures

• Experience in design, establishment and implementation of Monitoring & Evaluation Systems

• Experience of Grant schemes

• Knowledge of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness

• Coaching and mentoring experience and expertise

• Strong communication, personal and interpersonal skills

• Computer literacy

• At least 5 years of experience relevant to the assignment related to Institutional & Organisation Development and Capacity Building for Government Interface Structures with Civil Society Organisations

• Experience in working with civil society in Botswana is considered a distinct advantage

• Experience in assessing policy and programme context of Government – civil society relations

• A similar relevant assignment as a TA to a governmental institution whose remit encompasses Civil Society relations would be an asset.

• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, fluency in written and spoken English
